Privacy Policy

VaultDex ("the app", "we", "us") is built by Kode Foundry. This policy explains what data the app handles, why, and the choices you have. We designed VaultDex to keep your collection on your device by default.

1. Data stored on your device

Your collection, including cards, photos, purchase prices, notes, wishlist, sealed products and portfolio history, is stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud, this data syncs privately through your own Apple iCloud account, which we cannot access.

2. Card price lookups

When you look up a card, the app sends the card name, set and number to third party pricing and image services to fetch current values and artwork. These requests do not include your identity or your collection.

3. Community price cache

To make pricing faster and more accurate for everyone, the app contributes anonymous, aggregated price data (card name, set, number and observed price) to a shared cache hosted on Google Cloud Firestore. This data contains no personal information and is not linked to you or your device.

4. AI price estimates

For cards without a market listing, you can request an AI estimate. The card name, set and number are sent to an AI service that researches public sold prices. No personal data is included.

5. Website analytics

This marketing website uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand visits and improve the site. Analytics may set cookies and collect standard information such as device type, browser, approximate location and pages viewed. This applies to the website only, not to the app.

6. What we do not do

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not use your collection for advertising.
• We do not require an account to use the core app.

7. Third party services

The app and site rely on services including Apple iCloud, Google Firebase (Firestore and Analytics), card pricing and image providers, and an AI research provider. Each has its own privacy policy governing the limited data it receives.

8. Your choices and rights

You can delete any card or your entire collection at any time inside the app. Deleting the app removes all local data. You may request deletion of data associated with you by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR or CCPA to access, correct or delete personal data.

9. Children

VaultDex is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the date above.
